Leonardo DiCaprio, Meryl Streep and Timothee Chalamet Join Adam McKay's DON'T LOOK UP

Leonardo DiCaprio, Meryl Streep and Timothee Chalamet have joined the already star-studded cast of Netflix's upcoming comedy "Don't Look Up". The film will be directed, written and produced by Adam McKay ("The Big Short", "Vice").

The film follows two low-level astronomers who embark on a media tour to warn mankind of an impending asteroid that could destroy the planet, but find an unreceptive and unbelieving populace.

The cast also includes Jennifer Lawrence, Jonah Hill, Himesh Patel, Ariana Grande, Kid Cudi, Matthew Perry, Cate Blanchett and Rob Morgan.

Filming is expected to begin on November 19 in Boston. McKay will co-produce alongside Kevin Messick under McKay's Hyperobject Industries Banner.

DiCaprio is also committed to Martin Scorsese's period crime drama "Killers of the Flower Moon".

Streep can next be seen this December in Ryan Murphy's musical comedy "The Prom" alongside Nicole Kidman and Keegan Michael-Key.

Chalamet's recent projects include "Dune", "The French Dispatch" and James Mangold's Bob Dylan biopic "Going Electric".
