Tatiana Maslany Lands Title Role in Marvel's SHE-HULK Series

Tatiana Maslany Lands Title Role in Marvel's SHE-HULK Series
"Orphan Black" star Tatiana Maslany has signed on to star as the title character in Marvel's upcoming series "She-Hulk" for Disney+. TV helmer Kat Coiro ("It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia", "Dead to Me") has been tapped to direct several episodes, including the pilot, while "Rick and Morty" scribe Jessica Gao will lead the writers room.

She-Hulk aka Jennifer Walters, is the last major character co-created by Stan Lee. Walters is an attorney and cousin of Bruce Banner, aka The Hulk, who becomes the She-Hulk after getting an emergency blood transfusion from her cousin. However, unlike her cousin, she is able to keep her intelligence and personality when she turns into the Hulk.

"She-Hulk" is one of eight new projects Marvel has lined up on Disney+, alongside "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier", "Ms. Marvel", "Moon Knight", "WandaVision", "Hawkeye", "What If..." and "Loki". Although there have been COVID-19 related delays, all shows are in production and expected to be released next year.

Tatiana Maslany recently starred in the acclaimed HBO miniseries "Perry Mason".
