John David Washington Joins Christian Bale, Margot Robbie in David O. Russell's New Film

John David Washington Joins Christian Bale, Margot Robbie in David O. Russell's New Film
"Tenet" and "Ballers" star John David Washington is set to star in "American Hustle" filmmaker David O. Russell's new film at New Regency. This will be Russell's first directorial project since 2015's "Joy", which starred Jennier Lawrence, and he will direct from his own script.

Plot details are under wraps at this point. The cast also includes Christian Bale and Margot Robbie. The film will shoot in Los Angeles in January. Three-time Oscar winning cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki is also on board.

The film will be distributed via New Regency’s deal with 20th Century Studios, owned by Disney, with Matthew Budman producing.

Earlier this year, Michael B. Jordan was attached to the project, but that is no longer the case.

Washington is also set to star alongside Zendaya in Sam Levinson's drama "Malcolm & Marie", which has been sold to Netflix in a $30 million deal.
