Angelina Jolie and Christoph Waltz are in talks to star in the drama "Every Note Played" based on Lisa Genova's latest novel.
Jolie will star as the extranged ex-wife of a world-renowned concert pianist (Waltz) who reluctantly steps in to care for him when he gets diagnosed with ALS in his hands, a situation that forces them to reconcile with their failed relationship, and redefine his pursuit of greatness.
The film will be directed by Michael Sucsy ("Grey Gardens", "13 Reasons Why") from a script by Monet Clayton and David Mandell. Clayton will also produce alongside Richard Barton Lewis and Gabrielle Jerou-Tabak.
STXfilms Motion Picture Group chairman Adam Fogelson stated the following:
"We’re thrilled to be bringing this exceptional filmmaking team together for this emotional, powerful, and ultimately uplifting story.".
Jolie can next be seen in Marvel's "The Eternals", and the fantastical drama "Come Away". Waltz's next project is Wes Anderson's "The French Dispatch", and he can next be seen in the James Bond sequel "No Time to Die".
