TikTok star Addison Rae Easterling is set to star in Miramax's "He's All That", the upcoming gender-swapped remake of the 1999 teen comedy "She's All That", which starred Freddie Prinze Jr. and Rachael Leigh Cook. The original film was a modern-day retelling of George Bernard Shaw's "Pygmalion" and "My Fair Lady".
The film will reimagine the plot from a teenage girl's perspective, and Easterling will take on the role played by Prinze Jr. in the original. The 1999 film followed a popular high school jock who, after getting dumped by his girlfriend, attempts to transform one of the school's nerdy outcasts into the next prom queen. The remake will follow an influencer who attempts to turn a nerdy boy into prom king.
Most of the team behind "She's All That" will return for "He's All That". The script will be penned by R. Lee Fleming, the original's writer. Producers Jennifer Gibgot and Andrew Panay are also set to come back.
This will be the first time that a TikTok star signs on to star in a major studio film. Easterling has 60 million followers on TikTok, making her the second-most followed person on the social media platform. Forbes recently reported that the 19-year-old is the highest-paid TikToker, amassing $5 million last year from various endorsement deals.
Miramax CEO Bill Block had this to say about the remake:

"This reboot is a welcomed step towards a new generation of Miramax storytelling, part of our greater strategy to leverage our existing library with fresh, re-imagined content in both film and TV,".
