The "Barbenheimer" team-up is still blowing up the box-office, both films going strong in their sophomore weekend. Meanwhile, Disney has another flop on their hands as their latest big budget movie, "Haunted Mansion", failed to find an audience. However, the Australian horror film "Talk to Me" scored a decent debut.

"Barbie" is holding in first place with $93 million, dropping just 42.6% in its second weekend. The film has earned $351.4 million domestically after 10 days in theaters, and another $423.1 million overseas, which all adds up to a massive $774.5 million worldwide.
Christopher Nolan's epic biopic "Oppenheimer" is also holding in second place with $46.2 million, dropping 44% from its opening weekend. It became the first R-rated film to gross more than $10 million for seven days in a row on Friday, and now ten days through the weekend. In ten days, the film's domestic total has reached $174 million, while overseas it raked in $226.3 million, which brings the worldwide tally to $400.3 million.
Disney's "Haunted Mansion" opened in third place with a horrible $24.2 million from 3,740 theaters. It also flopped overseas with $9.1 million. The film cost around $150 million to produce, so it would have needed at least $300 million to break even. Not good at all. "Haunted Mansion" received negative reviews from critics (41% on Rotten Tomatoes), and a lukewarm reception from moviegoers ("B+" CinemaScore).
The indie hit "Sound of Freedom" finished in fourth place with $12.4 million. That's a 37% drop from the previous frame. The film has now grossed a total of $148.9 million after 27 days.
The Top 5 is rounded out by "Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One" with $10.7 million (-44.6%). Now in its third week in theaters, the film has grossed a total of $139.2 million domestically and another $309.3 million overseas. With $448.5 million, "Reckoning" is lagging way behind "Fallout" ($786.6 million), "Rogue Nation" ($688.8 million), and "Ghost Protocol" ($694.7 million).
A24's horror film "Talk to Me" opened in sixth place with an okay $10 million from 2,340 theaters. The film cost only $4.5 million to produce, so it's already turning a profit. The critical reception was very positive (95% on Rotten Tomatoes), but audiences were mostly mixed on it ("B+" on CinemaScore).
