Jennifer Garner Reprising Elektra Role In DEADPOOL 3

Jennifer Garner will reprise her role as superhero Elektra in Marvel's "Deadpool 3". Hugh Jackman will also reprise his performance as Wolverine for the movie. Garner previously played the role in 2003's "Daredevil" and 2005's "Elektra". Ryan Reynolds will, of course, return to play the title character.

The sequel is directed by Shawn Levy ("Free Guy", "Night at the Museum") from a script by franchise veterans Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. The cast also includes Matthew Macfadyen, Morena Baccarin, Karan Soni, Brianna Hildebrand, Rob Delaney, Stefan Kapicic, Shioli Kutsuna and Leslie Uggams.

The release date has been set for May 3, 2024. This will be Marvel Studio's first R-rated movie. The film is currently in production.

Garner is also set to appear in "Family Leave", which is in post-production.
