The film is set amid an environmental crisis that sees London submerged by flood waters, and it focuses on a young family torn apart in the chaos. Comer will play a mother who with her newborn child tries to find a way home, navigating the most challenging and apocalyptic start to motherhood.
Production is scheduled to start in August. Comer will also executive produce alongside Benedict Cumberbatch, Sebastien Raybaud, Eva Yates ("After Love") and Cecile Gaget ("Greenland"). Gaget will launch global sales on the film in Cannes. UTA Independent Film Group will rep the U.S. sale.
Jodie COmer is also set to star in the upcoming series "Big Swiss".
