The only new major release this week was the anime film "One Piece Film: Red", but it still was no match for the Dwayne Johnson superhero blockbuster "Black Adam", which topped the charts for a third consecutive week.

"Black Adam" finished in first place in its third frame with $18.5 million. That's a decent 33% drop from last week, an improvement over last weekend's 59% drop. The film has now grossed a total of $137.3 million domestically, while overseas it has raked in $182.3 million, adding up to a $319.7 million worldwide total.
Crunchyroll's "One Piece Film: Red" opened in second place with $9.4 million from 2,367 theaters, although pundits predicted a slightly higher $11 million debut. Overseas, the film has already raked in $132.1 million, and is currently the ninth highest grossing film of all time in Japan.
In third place we find the romantic comedy "Ticket to Paradise" with $8.5 million. The film dropped only 13.6% from the previous weekend. The film's domestic total has reached $46.7 million after 17 days in theaters and $90.4 million overseas.
The horror film "Smile" is holding in fourth place with $4 million, dropping just 26%. The film has reached a remarkable total of $99.1 million in North America and $103.8 million overseas. That's a $202.9 million global total against a production budget of only $17 million.
The Top 5 is rounded out by the horror film "Prey for the Devil" with $3.8 million, which brings its domestic total to $13.6 million. The film lost 46% in its sophomore frame.
