Demi Moore Joins Season 2 Of Ryan Murphy FX Series FEUD

Demi Moore Joins Season 2 Of Ryan Murphy FX Series FEUD
Demi Moore is in talks to join the cast of the second season of FX's anthology series "Feud" created by Ryan Murphy. Two-time Oscar nominee Gus Van Sant ("Good Will Hunting", "Milk") is set to direct all eight episodes, with Tony and Pulitzer nominee Jon Robin Baitz writing all episodes and serving as showrunner.

The new season is an adaptation of the bestselling book "Capote's Women: A True Story of Love, Betrayal, and a Swan Song for an Era" by Laurence Leamer. Set in the 1970s, series chronicles the tale of the famous novelist and screenwriter as he stabs several of his female friends — whom he called his "swans" — in the back by publishing excerpts of his unfinished novel "Answered Prayers", that included tell-all details about the city's elite.

The cast already features Tom Hollander as Capote, Calista Flockhart, Diane Lane, Naomi Watts and Chloƫ Sevigny. Moore will star as socialite Ann Woodward, a former showgirl and radio actress who was infamously accused of murdering her husband in 1955.

Watts will executive produce in addition to starring. Murphy will executive produce via Ryan Murphy Productions along with Dede Gardner of Plan B, Tim Minear, and Alexis Martin Woodall.

The first season of "Feud" aired in 2017 and focused on the relationship between Joan Crawford (Jessica Lange) and Bette Davis (Susan Sarandon) during the making of the 1962 film "What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?"

It was originally reported that the second season of "Feud" would focus on Charles, Prince of Wales, and Diana, Princess of Wales. However, FX ultimately abandoned the idea in 2018.
