Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, the writers of the first two "Deadpool" films, will return to write the third. Reese has previously confirmed that "Deadpool 3" will still be R-rated, despite being part of the family-friendly MCU.

Jackman's last appearance as Wolverine was in 2016's "Logan" directed by James Mangold. The 2016 and 2018 "Deadpool" movies were big hits at the box office, grossing a combined total of $1.56 billion, which is record-breaking for R-rated movies.
