"Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour" holds in first place with $31 million, down 66.6% from its huge opening weekend. The film has now grossed $129.7 million domestically and $30.7 million overseas.
The acclaimed historical drama "Killers of the Flower Moon" opened in second place with $23 million from 3,628 theaters. It also raked in $21 million from overseas markets, which brings the global debut to $44 million. While the film did cost $200 million to produce, it's not actually a bad start for a film like this, and if word-of-mouth is good, the next weeks will determine how well the film will end up. The critical reception has been very positive (92% on Rotten Tomatoes) and moviegoers also like what they saw ("A-" CinemaScore).
"The Exorcist: Believer" finished in third place with $5.6 million, dropping a milder 49% in its third weekend. After 17 days in theaters, the film has grossed $54.2 million in North America and $53.3 million overseas, adding up to $107.5 million worldwide.
"Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie" finished its fourth week in fourth place with $4.4 million, dropping a soft 35%. The film has now grossed a total of $56 million domestically and $92.3 million internationally. That's $148.3 million worldwide after 24 days in theaters.
The Top 5 is rounded out by the 30th Anniversary re-release of "The Nightmare Before Christmas" which opened with $4.1 million from 1,650 theaters.
