As expected, the concert documentary "Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour" topped the charts and demolished all competition, while also breaking records.

"Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour" is the #1 movie this weekend with somewhere between $95 and $97 million. The reason why we don't have exact numbers is because, according to the film's official distributor AMC Theatres, "without clear comparisons, Sunday box office projections remain a range". Some pundits expect a $94 million debut.
It's an amazing opening weekend for the movie, which has already become the highest-grossing concert film in domestic box office history, surpassing the $73 million grossed by "Justin Bieber: Never Say Never" in its entire theatrical run in 2011. If it rakes in more than $96 million, it will also break the October record set by "Joker" ($96.2 million) in 2019. Another interesting fact is that the movie will be playing in theaters on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, so fans can enjoy the experience of a packed crowd.
"Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour" also grossed another $32 million from overseas markets, which brings the worldwide total to $128 million. Critics loved the movie (100% on Rotten Tomatoes), and so did audiences ("A+" CinemaScore).
Last weekend's top-grossing movie, "The Exorcist: Believer", finished in second place with $11 million. The film fell 58%, which isn't actually that bad. Domestically the film has now grossed $44.9 million, and with another $40 million raked in from international markets, the worldwide total now sits at $84.9 million.
In third place we find "Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie" with $7 million, dropping 38%. The film has now grossed $49.8 million in North America after 17 days, and another $76.5 million overseas.
"Saw X" finished in fourth place with $5.7 million. It only fell 27% this week, and the domestic tally is now at $41.4 million. With another $29.9 million overseas, the film has now grossed $71.3 million worldwide after 17 days.
The Top 5 is rounded out by the sci-fi film "The Creator" with $4.3 million, dropping a soft 31%. The film has grossed $32.4 million in North America and $46.7 million overseas.
