Lily Rose-Depp to Star Opposite The Weeknd in HBO Drama THE IDOL
Lily-Rose Depp is set to star in the upcoming HBO drama series "The Idol" created by singer/songwriter The Weeknd and Sam Levinson ("Euphoria"). This will be the actress/model's first foray into television.

The show will follow a female pop singer (Depp) who starts a romance with an enigmatic L.A. club owner (The Weeknd) who is the leader of a secret cult. Joseph Epstein ("Health and Wellness") serves as writer, alongside Mary Laws ("Succession", "Preacher"), and showrunner. Levinson, Epstein, The Weeknd, Reza Fahim, Ashley Levinson, Kevin Turen, Nick Hall and Bron Studios' Aaron L. Gilbert will executive produce.

Rose-Depp is the daughter of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis. She recently starred in "Voyagers", and will next be seen in Nathalie Biancheri's drama "Wolf", and "Silent Night", in which she will star opposite Keira Knightley, Matthew Goode and Kirby Howell-Baptiste.
