MCU alums Scarlett Johansson and Chris Evans are in advanced negotiations to join Apple's upcoming romantic action adventure movie "Ghosted". The film will be directed by "Rocketman" and "Eddie the Eagle" helmer Dexter Fletcher from a script by Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, the writers of "Deadpool" and "Zombieland".
This becomes the latest deal for David Ellison's Skydance, which is coming off the Chris Pratt-starrer "The Tomorrow War", which moved from Paramount to Amazon Prime Video for an incredible $200 million, the Michael B. Jordan-starrer "Without Remorse" (also Amazon Prime), and just last week set Victoria Mahoney to direct the Netflix sequel "Old Guard 2".
Johansson and Evans last starred together in "Avengers: Endgame" as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow and Steve Rodgers/Captain America. Johansson has since played the character one more time in this year's "Black Widow". The actors also co-starred in the 2004 teen comedy "The Perfect Score", and the 2007 rom-com "The Nanny Diaries".
This is the latest deal for Johansson since her attorneys filed a lawsuit against Disney over the studio's decision to day-and-date release "Black Widow" for premium purchase on Disney+.
