Saoirse Ronan, Sam Rockwell And David Oyelowo To Star In Untitled Murder Mystery For Searchlight

Saoirse Ronan Sam Rockwell David Oyelowo Untitled Mystery Movie

Saoirse Ronan, Sam Rockwell and David Oyelowo have signed on to star in Searchlight's upcoming untitled murder mystery movie. The film will be directed by BAFTA-winning TV helmer Tom George (BBC sitcom "This Country") from a script by Mark Chappell ("Flaked"), both making their feature film debuts.

The plot focuses on a desperate Hollywood film producer in 1950s London who sets out to turn a popular West End play into a film, only to see members of the production be killed off. Rockwell and Ronan will star as world-weary Inspector Stoppard and overzealous rookie Constable Stalker, who find themselves in the midst of a puzzling whodunit within London's glamorous Theatreland and sordid underground.

The film will be produced by Damian Jones ("The Iron Lady"). A production start date has yet to be set.

Oyelowo will next be seen in Netflix's "Midnight Sky", "Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway" and "Chaos Walking".

Ronan can be seen next in Wes Anderson's "The French Dispatch".
