Isaac will star as Marc Spector, an elite soldier and mercenary who decides to fight crime after he becomes the human avatar of Khonshu, the Egyptian god of the moon.
"The Umbrella Academy" co-creator and writer Jeremy Slater will develop the show and lead the writing team. Marvel and Disney+ are currently looking for a director. No production start date has been set.
"Moon Knight" is one of several Marvel series in the works at Disney Plus including "WandaVision", "Loki", "Falcon and the Winter Soldier", "Hawkeye", "She-Hulk", and "Ms. Marvel".
