"21 Jump Street" star Channing Tatum and helmrs Phil Lord and Chris Miller are set to join forces once again for a monster movie at Universal, which is based on one of the studio's iconic monster characters.
The film is described as a modern day, tongue in cheek thriller, however the studio is keeping the identity of the classic monster a secret for now. Lord and Miller will produce, and Tatum will star. No director has been set.
The screenplay is being written by Wes Tooke ("Midway"). Lord and Miller will produce with Aditya Sood through their production company Lord Miller. Tatum will also produce alongside Reid Carolin and Peter Kiernan for their banner Free Association.
Tatum is currently in production on his directorial debut "Dog" which he is co-directing with Carolin and starring.
