Jennier Lopez and Armie Hammer ("Call Me By Your Name") are set to star in the action comedy "Shotgun Wedding". The film will be directed by Jason Moore ("Pitch Perfect") from a script by Mark Hammer ("Two Night Stand") and Liz Meriwether ("No Strings Attached").
Lopez and Hammer will star as Darcy and Tom, a couple who gathers their families together for a destination wedding. Things start to go south, however, after the two get cold feet. But that's not the worst thing about the wedding from hell — the ceremony goes completely off the rails when the entire party is taken hostage. Now, Darcy and Tom must save their loved ones - if they don't kill each other first.
Production is expected to begin next year. Ryan Reynolds, George Dewey, Alex Young and Courtney Baxter will executive produce. Todd Lieberman & David Hoberman ("Wonder") will produce alongside Lopez, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas and Benny Medina.
Production is expected to begin early next year.
Lopez can be seen next in the Universal romantic comedy "Marry Me" opposite Owen Wilson. Hammer recently starred in Netflix's "Rebecca" and also stars in "Death on the Nile" opposite Gal Gadot and Elisabeth Debicki.
