Michelle Williams Joins Daniel Craig and Cillian Murphy in Damien Chazelle's New Movie

Michelle Williams Joins Daniel Craig Cillian Murphy In Damien Chazelles New Movie

Michelle Williams ("My Week With Marilyn", "The Greatest Showman") will join Cillian Murphy ("Oppenheimer") and Daniel Craig ("Knives Out") in the new film from Oscar-winning filmmaker Damien Chazelle ("Whiplash", "La La Land") that has been described as a mid-budget prison drama with action elements. Paramount Pictures will distritube the film.

The untitled film was written by Chazelle, who will direct and produce alongside Olivia Hamilton under their Wild Chickens Productions banner. It is expected to start filming in 2026 in Greece. It has also been reported that Chazelle will be working with "The Brutalist" cinematographer Lol Crawley, instead of his go-to DP Linus Sandgren ("La La Land", "Babylon") who is busy working on the "Ocean's Eleven" prequel starring Margot Robbie and Bradley Cooper. Chazelle's longtime composer Justin Hurwitz is writing the score.

In 2024 Chazelle was set to shoot an Evel Knievel biopic starring Leonardo DiCaprio, but the project was shelved after DiCaprio exited.

Williams is currently appearing on stage at St. Ann's Warehouse in a production of Eugene O'Neill's "Anna Christie". She can next be seen in the thriller "A Place in Hell" written and directed by Chloe Domont ("Fair Play") and co-starring Daisy Edgar-Jones and Andrew Scott.
