Johnny Knoxville has announced via Instagram that a new "Jackass" movie is set for release on June 26, 2026: "Well a wang dang and hot damn doodle, we are starting the year off with a bang. We wanted to let you know that this summer Jackass is back!! We will see you in theatres June 26th.🎉❤️🎉 More to come but wanted you to hear it from us first!!"
The new film will be the fifth installment of the franchise. It doesn't yet have a title, and there's no information about the cast, but you can be damn sure that there will be plenty of insane stunts to behold.
"Jackass" started as an MTV reality series in 2000, and the first feature film was released in 2002, grossing $79 million worldwide against a $5 million budget. It was followed by three other installments, the latest released in 2022, and the spinoff "Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa". "Jackass Forever", the fourth film in the franchise, opened with $23.1 million and grossed a total of $57.7 million domestically and $80 million worldwide. The entire franchise has now grossed around $416 million globally.
