Alex Jennings & Saffron Burrows Join BritBox's Agatha Christie Series TOMMY & TUPPENCE

Alex Jennings Saffron Burrows Guest Stars Britbox Series Tommy And Tuppence

"The Crown" star Alex Jennings and "You" actress Saffron Burrows are set to guest star in BritBox's modern reimagining of Agatha Christie's "Tommy & Tuppence". The six part drama stars Antonia Thomas ("The Good Doctor"), Josh Dylan ("Buccaneers"), and Imelda Staunton ("Harry Potter"). Other guest stars will include Sebastian De Souza ("The Life List"), Sean Pertwee ("The Hack"), Denise Black (Rivals), and Alice Krige (She Will).

"Tommy & Tuppence will reimagine Tommy and Tuppence Beresford in the modern world, more than a century after they first appeared together in Christie's "The Secret Adversary", and it will be set in Hampstead, a leafy and affluent corner of north London, which will become the scene of murder and mystery.

Series regulars joining the cast include Callie Cooke ("F1") as Detective Sergeant Draper; Nicholas Richardson ("Wu-tang: An American Saga") as film producer Julius; Charlie Condou ("Doctor Who") as pub landlady Albert; and Chizzy Akudolu ("Little Disasters") as Detective Inspector Merriot.

Lookout Point ("Happy Valley") will produce the show alongside Agatha Christie Limited. Phoebe Eclair-Powell ("The Road Trip") will write, this being her first series commission for television.

Tommy and Tuppence have appeared in numerous adaptations over the years, most recently being played by David Walliams and Jessica Raine in the 2025 BBC series "Partners in Crime". The new series was greenlit by Robert Schildhouse, Jon Farrar, and Stephen Nye for BritBox. They executive produce alongside Laura Lankester, Katie Draper, and Louise Mutter for Lookout Point. James Prichard executive produces for Agatha Christie Limited, while Eclair-Powell also executive produces. BBC Studios, which owns BritBox and Lookout Point, handles global sales.
