Dane Keen ("Deadpool & Wolverine") and Saara Chaudry ("PAW Patrol: The Movie") have joined the cast for the third season of the Disney+ fantasy series "Percy Jackson and the Olympians". Both are set for recurring roles in the new season, which will be based on author Rick Riordan's third book in the series "The Titan's Curse".
Keen will play Artemis and Chaudry will portray Zoë Nightshade. The castings were revealed via the show's Instagram account. New additions to the cast also include Levi Chrisopulos and Olive Abercrombie, who will play the children of Hades, Nico and Bianca di Angelo, respectively.
Here's the official description for Artemis: "She prefers the freedom of the outdoors to the politics and formality of Olympus. Her immortal Hunters are her constant companions, and she has little contact with mortals, making her a bit out of touch with modern human culture. She is regal and an honorable fighter who will stand up to grave challenges."
As for Nightshade, she is said to be "Loyal Lieutentant to Artemis and first among the immortal Hunters, Zoë Nightshade has been at Artemis’s side for more than 2,000 years. She is a strong warrior and sometimes overly serious in ways that amuse the demigods, but she is also a crucial quest member, willing to strive and sacrifice for the good of all."
The show was already renewed for a third season ahead of the Season 2 premiere on December 10, 2025. Production is currently underway on Season 3 in Vancouver. Riordan and Jon Steinberg serve as writers and executive producers.
Season 2 is based on the second book titled "The Sea of Monsters". Percy Jackson returns to Camp Half-Blood one year later to find his world turned upside down. His friendship with Annabeth is changing, he learns he has a cyclops for a brother, Grover has gone missing, and the camp is under siege from the forces of Kronos. Percy's journey to set things right will take him off the map and into the deadly Sea of Monsters, where a secret fate awaits the son of Poseidon.
