For a second time in 2024, the Emmys announced the winners of their coveted TV awards. The 2023 ceremony was delayed to January 2024 due to last year's Hollywood strikes, so it's only been eight months since the last awards ceremony. "Schitt's Creek" stars Eugene and Dan Levy hosted the 76th annual Emmy Awards.
"Shogun" dominated with 18 wins, including Outstanding Drama, Lead Actor (Hiroyuki Sanada), Actress (Anna Sawai) and Directing. The show had already won 14 Creative Arts Emmys last weekend. It has broken the record for most wins for a show in a single season.
"The Bear" took home comedy trophies for Lead Actor (Jeremy Allen White), Supporting Actor (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) and Supporting Actress (Liza Colón-Zayas), but failed to land the Outstanding Comedy award, which instead went to HBO's "Hacks".
Netflix's "Baby Reindeer" won Outstanding Limited Series, Lead Actor and Writing (Richard Gadd) and Supporting Actress (Jessica Gunning). Jodie Foster won the first Emmy of her career for "True Detective: Night Country".
