Gwyneth Paltrow Joins Timothee Chalamet in Josh Safdie's Ping Pong Movie MARTY SUPREME

Gwyneth Paltrow To star In Ping Pong Movie Marty Supreme

Gwyneth Paltrow returns to acting after a five-year break with a role in the upcoming ping pong movie "Marty Supreme" from Josh Safdie, who is best known for directing "Uncut Gems" and "Good Time" with his brother, Benny Safdie. This will be his first solo feature directorial project since 2008. He also recently directed Adam Sandler's Netflix comedy special "Love You".

The film also stars Timothee Chalamet, but plot details are being kept under wraps. While it was previously rumored to be loosely inspired by a pro ping-pong player, the film is said to be a fictionalised original film. There are also no details about Paltrow's role.

The screenplay was written by Safdie and Ronald Bronstein, who both produce alongside Eli Bush, Anthony Katagas and Chalamet.

Paltrow's last role was in 2019's "Avengers: Endgame". She has lately devoted much of her time to the lifestyle brand Goop, which she founded in 2008.
