The Disney/Pixar behemoth "Inside Out 2" is still the #1 movie at the box-office with $57.5 million in its third weekend, which brings its domestic total to an incredible $469.4 million, while overseas it adds another $549.6 million. The global tally has crossed the $1 billion mark, making the sequel one of only 11 animated feature films to cross that milestone. It's also the fastest to $1 billion in just 19 days of release. "Inside Out 2" is currently Pixar's third biggest earner domestically, behind "Incredibles 2" ($608.5 million) and "Finding Dory" ($486.2 million), and their fifth worldwide.

The sci-fi horror prequel "A Quiet Place: Day One" opened in second place with $52.2 million from 3,707 theaters, surpassing the $50 million opening weekend of "A Quiet Place" and the $47 million debut of "A Quiet Place Part II". Overseas the film grossed $45.5 million, which brings the film's worldwide debut to $97.7 million against a production budget of around $67 million. The critical reception was generally positive (86% on Rotten Tomatoes) while audiences were mixed-to-positive ("B+" CinemaScore).

Kevin Costner's ambitious western drama "Horizon: An American Saga - Chapter 1" made its debut in third place with a weak $11 million from 3,334 theaters. The film cost around $100 million to produce. The project will have three more chapters, of which the second will be released on August 16, 2024, while the other two are still in production. Both the critical and audience reception were mixed-to-negative (43% on Rotten Tomatoes and a "B-" CinemaScore).

The sequel "Bad Boys: Ride or Die" finished its fourth week in fourth place with $10.3 million, which brings its total domestic cume to $165.2 million. The film also grossed $166.7 million internationally, which brings the worldwide tally to $331.9 million.

The Top 5 is rounded out by Bollywood's three-hour action epic "Kalki 2898 AD" with $5.47 million from 1,049 theaters.

In other news, last week's new release "The Bikeriders" starring Austin Butler dropped almost 66% in its sophomore weekend. The film landed in sixth place with $3.3 million over the weekend, which brings its domestic total to $16.2 million. Overseas it added another $7.3 million.
