Julia Garner Joins Josh Brolin in Horror Thriller WEAPONS

Three-time Emmy winner Julia Garner has joined the cast of New Line's upcoming horror thriller "Weapons" from writer/director Zach Cregger ("Barbarian"). Josh Brolin is also on board to star in the film.

"Weapons" has been described as an interrelated, multistory horror epic that tonally is in the vein of Paul Thomas Anderson's 1999 film "Magnolia". Cregger also wrote the script, but plot details are being kept under wraps.

The film is due to begin shooting in mid-May in Atlanta. Cregger is producing along with Roy Lee of Vertigo and J.D. Lifshitz and Raphael Margules of BoulderLight Pictures. Vertigo's Miri Yoon also produces.

Garner has recently been cast to star in Marvel's "Fantastic Four", which also stars Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. The MCU flick will begin production after "Weapons", late summer in London.
