"Supernatural" star Jensen Ackles has joined the cast of the CBS drama series "Tracker". Ackles will guest star on the show as Colter Shaw's (Justin Hartley) estranged brother Russell. The exact moment when Ackles' character will be introduced has not been revealed.
The series has been a hit for CBS, and has already been renewed for a second season following the Season 1 premiere. The show is based on the bestselling novel "The Never Game" by Jeffery Deaver, and it follows Colter Shaw, a lone-wolf survivalist who roams the country as a reward seeker, using his expert tracking skills to help private citizens and law enforcement solve all manner of mysteries while contending with his own fractured family.
"Tracker" also stars Fiona Rene, Robin Weigert, Abby McEnany and Eric Graise also star. The series is produced by 20th Television. Hartley, Ken Olin, Elwood Reid and Ben Winters serve as executive producers.
