It's been a very slow weekend with no new wide releases, so the R-rated action thriller "The Beekeeper" starring Jason Statham will end up surpassing the teen musical comedy "Mean Girls" and claim the top spot for the first time since they both opened three weeks ago.

"The Beekeeper" looks to claim the #1 position this week with $7.4 million, dropping just 14% in its third weekend. The film has now earned $42.2 million in North America, while overseas it raked in $61.9 million.
"Mean Girls" takes a step back with $7.3 million. That's a 37% decline from last weekend. So far, the film has grossed 60.8 million after 17 days in theaters. Internationally it adds another $22.6 million.
Now in its seventh week in theaters, "Wonka" is holding in third place with $5.9 million, down only 12% from the previous frame. The film has grossed a total of $195.1 million domestically, $356.9 million internationally, and $552 million worldwide.
Also holding in formation at #4 is the animated film "Migration" with $5.1 million. The film dropped just 5.7% from last week, and has now grossed $101.2 million in North America. Overseas it adds another $104.8 million.
The Top 5 is rounded out by another holdover, the sleeper hit R-rated rom-com "Anyone But You" with $4.8 million. This film is also doing remarkably well and only lost 11% from the previous weekend. The film's domestic tally is now at $71.1 million, while overseas it raked in $55.4 million.
