Topher Grace (Home Economics") and Michelle Dockery ("Downton Abbey") have signed on to star in Academy Award winner Mel Gibson's upcoming suspense thriller "Flight Risk". Based on a 2020 Black List script by Jared Rosenberg, the Lionsgate movie will be Gibson's first directorial project since "Hacksaw Ridge".
The film stars Mark Wahlberg as a pilot transporting an Air Marshal (Dockery), who's been tasked with accompanying a fugitive (Grace) to trial. As they cross the Alaskan wilderness, tensions soar and trust is tested, as not everyone on board is who they seem.
Davis Entertainment is producing alongside Gibson and Bruce Davey through their Icon Productions. Hammerstone Studios is also producing the project.
Dockery recently completed production on Destry Allyn Spielberg's debut feature "Please Don't Feed the Children". She can also be seen in Robert Zemeckis' new film "Here" alongside Tom Hanks, the action thriller "Boy Kills World" with Bill Skarsgaard, and Steven Knight's limited series "This Town".
