Oscar nominated Bulgarian actress Maria Bakalova ("Borat: Subsequent Moviefilm") has joined the cast of the new MCU movie "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3", and will apparently have an important role in it.
As expected, the superhero flick's plot is being kept deep under wraps, but what is known is that it will be the last installment in Gunn's series of Guardians films.
Director James Gunn confirmed Bakalova's attachement to the final installment via Twitter:
Filming on the film recently wrapped. The cast includes Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Sylvester Stallone, Karen Gillan, Elizabeth Debicki, Will Poulter and Chuk Iwuji. It was recently revealed that Daniela Melchior ("The Suicide Squad") has also joined the cast.
Executive producers are Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Nikolas Korda, Simon Hatt and Sara Smith.
"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" will open in theaters on May 5, 2023.
Bakalova's upcoming projects included A24's horror comedy "Bodies Bodies Bodies" and the comedy "The Honeymoon".
