"Aquaman" and "Dune" star Jason Momoa has officially joined the cast of the upcoming 10th installment in the long-running "Fast & Furious" franchise. The team officially welcomed Momoa into the crew via social media with a post captioned: "The Fast Fam keeps getting bigger".
The untitled sequel will once again be directed by franchise veteran helmer Justin Lin, who previously directed all installments from third to sixth, and returned to direct "F9: The Fast Saga". The entire crew is expected to return, including Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Sung Kang and Charlize Theron. Vin Diesel and Lin are producing.
The film will open in theaters on May 19, 2023. Plot details are unknown at this time. The tentatively titled "Fast and Furious 10" will be the penultimate outing for Toretto and his crew, which is set to wrap up with the 10th and 11th films.
Momoa recently wrapped filming on "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom" directed by James Wan.
