"Parks & Recreation" and "Legion" star Aubrey Plaza will lead the cast of the second season of HBO's dark comedy series "The White Lotus" created by Mike White. Plaza will join previously cast Michael Imperioli.
Plaza will play Harper Spiller, a woman on vacation with her husband and his friends. Imperioli plays Dominic Di Grasso, a man traveling with his elderly father and recent college-graduate son.
The first season followed a group of guests at the Hawaiian resort "The White Lotus" over the span of a week. The new installment will reportedly take place at a different White Lotus property in some other part of the world. It will also feature a new cast, with the exception of Jennifer Coolidge, who is rumored to return. White will once again write, direct and executive produce.
Plaza can next be seen in Guy Ritchie's "Operation Fortune: Ruse De Guerra", in which she stars opposite Jason Statham and Hugh Grant. She also stars in and produced "Emily the Criminal", which will premiere at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival. She is currently starring in and producing the Hulu drama series "Olga Dies Dreaming".
