Cynthia Erivo to Star in Netflix Sci-Fi Film BLINK SPEED

Grammy, Tony, Emmy winner and Two-time Oscar nominee Cynthia Erivo ("Harriet") will star in and produce the sci-fi film "Blink Speed" for Netflix. The film is based on a short story by Eric Brown ("Queen Bitch and the High Horse"), who will also write the adaptation. The streamer picked up the rights in a competitive bidding war.

Erivo will play a young woman plagued by a rare and mysterious savant ability after a near-death experience. Her new skill may also be the key to unlocking the truth behind her fractured memory and past.

Solome Williams will also produce alongside Erivo for Edith's Daughter, while "Trial of the Chicago 7" and "Molly's Game" producer Matt Jackson will also produce for Jackson Pictures with Joanne Lee as executive producer.

Cynthia Erivo will next be seen in Disney's "Pinocchio" with Tom Hanks and is currently in production on "Luther" with Idris Elba for Netflix. She is also starring in Apple's upcoming anthology series "Road". This summer, she begins production on Jon Chu's "Wicked", in which she stars as Elphaba opposite Ariana Grande.
