Ryan Gosling to Star in, Produce THE ACTOR Movie Adaptation
Ryan Gosling is set to star in and produce the upcoming thriller "The Actor" an adaptation of Donald E. Westlake's novel "Memory".

The film will be directed by Duke Johnson ("Anomalisa") from a script he wrote with Stephen Cooney. Gosling will play New York actor Paul Cole, who is beaten and left for dead in 1950s Ohio. Stripped of his memory and stranded in a mysterious small town, Paul struggles to get back home, piece together and reclaim the life and identity he's lost. The film follows a thrilling journey we all must take: to find home, to find love, and ultimately to find ourselves.

Johnson will also produce alongside Abigail Spencer under their Innerlight Films production banner, Paul Young through his company Make Good, Gosling and Ken Kao.

Gosling is also set to star in the Netflix thriller "The Gray Man" alongside Chris Evans and Ana De Armas from the Russo Brothers, and Leigh Whannell's "Wolfman" at Universal. He will also produce Phil Lord and Chris Miller's "Project Hail Mary", based on a novel by Andy Weir ("The Martian").
