Anne Hathaway is set to star opposite Jared Leto in AppleTV's upcoming limited series "WeCrashed", which hails from Drew Crevello ("The Long Dark") and "Little America" co-creator Lee Eisenberg.
The eight-episode drama will focus on the infamous WeWork, one of the world's most valuable startups valued at nearly $50 billion at one time, following its greed-filled rise and inevitable fall, and the narcissists whose chaotic love made it all possible. Leto will star as WeWork founder Adam Neumann, while Hathaway will play his wife and co-founder Rebekah Neumann.
The miniseries is based on the Wondery podcast of the same name hosted by veteran radio journalist David Brown. John Requa and Glenn Ficarra will direct. Eisenberg will co-write and serve as showrunner alongside Crevello.
Leto and Hathaway will also executive produce alongside Requa, Ficarra, Emma Ludbrook Wondery's Hernan Lopez, Marshall Lewy and Aaron Hart.
Another WeWork TV series is in the works from "You're the Worst" creator Stephen Falk that is based on a book from Wall Street Journal reporters Eliot Brown and Maureen Farrell. That show will star Nicholas Braun ("Succession") as Adam Neumann. No network is currently attached.
