"Star Wars" alum John Boyega and Robert De Niro are set to star in Netflix's upcoming crime thriller "The Formula", which will be written, directed and produced by Gerard McMurray ("The First Purge").
The story follows a Formula One racing prodigy who is forced to become a getaway driver to save the only family he has left. Jason Michael Berman will executive produce with Sam Shaw and Ephraim Walker.
Boyega recently starred in Steve McQueen's acclaimed anthology film "Small Axe" and is currently filming the sci-fi comedy "They Cloned Tyrone" in which he stars opposite Jamie Foxx.
De Niro will next begin filming David O. Russell's next untitled film, which also stars Christian Bale and Margot Robbie. He recently finished work on "Wash Me in the River" opposite John Malkovich".
