Lucy Liu To Star In ABC Workplace Comedy From Shana Goldberg-Meehan

Lucy Liu To Star In ABC Workplace Comedy From Shana Goldberg-Meehan
Lucy Liu will star in Shana Goldberg-Meehan's multi-camera workplace comedy pilot at ABC. Liu is also on board as a producer. Christine Gernon ("Speechless") will direct, and Goldberg-Meehan will serve as writer and executive producer.

Produced by CBS Television Studios and 20th Century Fox Television, the show was formerly known as "Bossy" and "Kids Matter Now", and it stars Liu as the fierce and powerful head of Shelter, a large and successful modern furniture company, who is unfamiliar with failure. But when she adopts a baby she is ill-prepared for the task of parenting and feels at a complete loss as to how to be a mom.

The pilot is one of several that ABC scheduled to shoot later in the year once production can safely resume. Other pilots include "Rebel" starring Katey Sagal and "Home Economics" starring Topher Grace.

Liu starred in the crime drama series "Elementary", which enjoyed a seven-season run on CBS, and the hit Fox series "Ally McBeal". Recently she starred in the CBS All Access anthology series "Why Women Kill", and the Netflix feature film "Set It Up".

The actress has also taken up directing, helming episodes of "Elementary", "Luke Cage", "New Amsterdam" and "Graceland".
