Hassie Harrison ("Yellowstone"", "Dangerous Animals") and Brandon Sklenar ("1923", "Drop") are set to star in Paramount's neo-western thriller "The Rescue" from director Potsy Ponciroli ("Old Henry"). The script is written by John Fusco ("Young Guns", "Hidalgo").
The film centers on an aging rodeo cowboy (Sklenar) and his dog as they embark on a desperate search for his missing daughter. The story follows him as he is forced to use his specialized rodeo skills and grit outside the arena to navigate a dangerous modern landscape and reclaim his child.
Filming is expected to begin next summer. Ponciroli will produce alongside Shannon Houchins and Cliff Roberts. Down Home will executive produce. The film is being developed on high priority by Skydance-Paramount.
Harrison can next be seen in the thriller "Raven", which also stars Anthony Mackie, Pablo Schreiber, Ben Foster, and Ron Livingston. Sklenar can also be seen in Paul Feig's psychological thriller "The Housemaid" alongside Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried, which opens in theaters on December 19th. He will also reunite with Taylor Sheridan for the action thriller "F.A.S.T."
