Jason Momoa is set to star in the upcoming Apple TV drama series "Nomad" co-created by Kurt Sutter ("Sons 0f Anarchy") and Chris Collins ("John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum", "The Wire", "The Man in the High Castle"). Collins and Sutter are also writing the pilot, while Collins will serve as showrunner.
Set in the violent underworld of New Zealand's outlaw bikers, the show follows a warrior torn between two lives, two callings and two families, who must decide which path defines his true destiny.
The New Zealand Nomads is in fact a real-life large organised criminal gang formed in the Horowhenua Wellington, New Zealand in 1977. They were originally members of the Black Power, known as the "Black Power Nomads", before a large portion of the gang split and formed their own gang. In 2013, the gang had 103 members in prison.
Sutter executive produces through SutterInk, Collins through Generator Entertainment and Momoa and Brian Mendoza through their On the Roam banner.
Momoa is also set to star in the upcoming sequel "Fast X: Part Two" which will be released in 2027.
