Kevin Costner ("Yellowstone") and Jake Gyllenhaal ("Presumed Innocent") have signed on to star in Amazon MGM's upcoming dramedy "Honeymoon with Harry". The film will reunite "Crazy, Stupid, Love." and "This is Us" helmers Glen Ficarra and John Requa, and writer Dan Fogelman. The film is based on the book by Bart Baker.
The plot follows a man (Gyllenhaal) as he decides to go on a honeymoon with his would-be father-in-law (Costner) after his fiancée dies two days before their wedding.
Producers include Fogelman, Mike Karz via Gulfstream Pictures, and Jennifer Salke via her newly launched Sullivan Street Productions banner. The project marks Salke's first project with Amazon MGM since stepping down as head of the studio earlier this year and her producing debut. She previously worked with Fogelman on the hit family drama series "This Is Us" as then President of NBC Entertainment.
Gyllenhaal can next be seen in M. Night Shyamalan's "Remain" and Maggie Gyllenhaal's "The Bride!". His company Nine Stories is under a three-year first-look film deal with Amazon MGM.
Costner is also set to serve as executive producer of the forthcoming Civil War six-hour spy drama limited series "The Gray House".
