"Weapons" dominated its sophomore weekend and even added 248 new theaters. Meanwhile, the action sequel "Nobody 2" starring Bob Odenkirk was a disappointing new arrival that failed to attract moviegoers.

"Weapons" is still the #1 movie at the box office with $24.4 million in its second weekend, down only 43.8% after adding 248 extra screens. The film has now grossed a total of $88.5 million domestically and another $60.3 million internationally for a worldwide total of $148.8 million against a $38 million budget.
In second place we find another holdover, Disney's sequel "Freakier Friday", which finished its second weekend with $14.2 million. That's a 50% drop from its debut frame. The film has now grossed a total of $54.5 million in North America and another $31.6 million from foreign markets. That's a global cume of $86.2 million against a $45 million budget.
The sequel "Nobody 2" opened in third place with a weak $9.2 million from 3,260 theaters. The first film opened in 2021 with $6.8 million from 2,460 theaters and went on to gross $27.5 million domestically and $29.9 million internationally. The sequel adds another $5 million from overseas markets for a worldwide debut of $14.2 million. The new installment's production budget is estimated at around $25 million, while the original cost only $16 million to produce. "Nobody 2" received positive reviews from critics (77% on Rotten Tomatoes), but a more lukewarm reception from moviegoers ("B+" CinemaScore).
"The Fantastic Four: First Steps" finished its fourth weekend in fourth place with $9 million, a 42.8% decline from last week. It has raked in a total of $247.2 million domestically and another $222.2 million from international markets. Its global tally now sits at $469.4 million.
The Top 5 is rounded out by the animated sequel "The Bad Guys 2" with $7.5 million. The film only fell 29% from its previous frame, which brings its domestic total to $57.2 million after three weeks in theaters. Internationally it raked in another $60.7 million for a worldwide total of $117.9 million.
In other news, at #10 we find the Indian Tamil-language action thriller "Coolie", which opened with $2.4 million from 800 theaters. Also, the re-release of "Shin Godzilla" made its debut outside the Top 10 with $1.6 million from 1,290 theaters.
