"The Fantastic Four" isn't holding as well as "Superman" did, but it's still the top movie at the box-office in its sophomore frame, holding its own against a batch of new arrivals that included the spoof comedy reboot/sequel "The Naked Gun" and the animated sequel "The Bad Guys 2". Meanwhile, the body horror film "Together" starring real-life husband and wife Dave Franco and Alison Brie pulled off a decent debut for Neon.

"The Fantastic Four: First Steps" still leads the pack with with $38.6 million over its second weekend in theaters, but suffered a steep 67.1% drop. That's pretty much what Marvel can expect from its movies nowadays, but James Gunn's "Superman" only dropped 53% in its sophomore frame, and opened higher than the Marvel flick. " The Fantastic Four: First Steps" has now grossed $197.1 million domestically and $170.2 million internationally for a worldwide total of $367.4 million.
The animated sequel "The Bad Guys 2" opened in second place with $21.9 million from 3,852 theaters. That's slightly less than the first film's $23.9 million debut in 2022. The new installment also adds another $22.5 million overseas for a global tally of $44.5 million against a budget of 80 million. The film received a positive reception from both critics (86% on Rotten Tomatoes) and moviegoers ("A" CinemaScore).
