Sylvester Stallone to Star in Paramount+ Series KANSAS CITY From Taylor Sheridan & Terence Winter
Sylverster Stallone is gearing up for his first major lead role in a television series. The actor is set to star in a new Paramount+ series titled "Kansas City" that hails from Taylor Sheridan ("Sicario", "Yellowstone") and Terence Winter ("Boardwalk Empire", "The Sopranos").

Set in the present day, the series follows legendary New York City mobster Sal (Stallone), who is faced with the startling task of reestablishing his Italian mafia family to the modernized, straight-shooting town of Kansas City, Missouri. There, Sal encounters surprising and unsuspecting characters who follow him along his unconventional path to power.

The series will be produced by 101 Studios, the company behind Sheridan's universe of series, and MTV Entertainment Studios. Sheridan and Winter will write and executive produce, with Winter serving as showrunner. Stallone will also executive produce alongside David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle and Bob Yari.

Stallone previously guest starred in various classic shows such as "Police Story" and "Kojak" in the 1970s, and recently in "This Is Us". He will next be seen in "The Expendables 4", the last installment in the franchise, which opens next year, and the superhero film "Samaritan". He is also set to star in "Guardians of the Galaxy 3", which will be released in 2023.
