Christina Ricci Has Joined the Cast of THE MATRIX 4

In an updated press kit from Warner Bros it has been revealed that Christina Ricci has joined the cast of the studio's untitled "The Matrix" sequel. Ricci previously worked with the Wachowskis on "Speed Racer". Her credits include films like "The Addams Family", "Casper", "Sleepy Hollow", "Monster" and "Black Snake Moan".

The fourth installment in the franchise will be directed by Lana Wachowski from a script she co-wrote alongside "Cloud Atlas" author David Mitchell, and Bosnian-American fiction writer, essayist, and critic Aleksander Hemon.

The cast already includes Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, Jada Pinkett Smith, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Jonathan Groff, Neil Patrick Harris, Jessica Henwick, Telma Hopkins, Eréndira Ibarra, Toby Onwumere, Max Riemelt, and Brian J. Smith.

"The Matrix 4" will be released in theaters and on HBO Max December 22, 2021.
