Elisabeth Moss Joins Blumhouse and Universal's THE INVISIBLE MAN Reboot

Elisabeth Moss Joins Blumhouse and Universal's THE INVISIBLE MAN Reboot
Elisabeth Moss ("Mad Men", "The Handmaid's Tale") is ready for another collaboration with Jason Blum's production company Blumhouse following her appearance in the hit horror flick "Us". The two-time Golden Globe and Emmy winner has officially signed on to star in "The Invisible Man", the reboot of Universal's classic monster movie.

Originally announced as part of Universal's Dark Universe, the project was retooled following the disappointing debut of 2017's "The Mummy". The reboot has been written and will be directed by Leigh Whannell ("Insidious: Chapter 3", "Upgrade").

Moss will play Cecilia Kass, the love interest to Adrian Griffin, the invisible man, who in this movie is a billionaire sociopath who made his money by developing an invisibility suit for the Department of Defense. Although no actor has been officially chosen for the lead, it seems that the studios are considering Armie Hammer and Alexander SkarsgÄrd. When the project was part of the Dark Universe, Johnny Depp was tapped to star as the invisible man.

"The Invisible Man" will begin production this Summer in Australia. There is no release date for the film.
