Apple's lineup of original streaming shows keeps growing, and the latest addition to the roster is the Stephen King adaptation "Lisey's Story", based on the author's 2006 book of the same name. The eight-episode limited series will be executive produced by J.J. Abrams, making this his third collaboration with the tech giant following the announcements of "Little Voice" and "My Glory Was I Had Such Friends".
Academy Award winner Julianne Moore is set to star as the titular character, Lisey, a woman who is faced with repressed and forgotten realities about her late husband following a series of unexpected events. King will write all eight episodes of the show. Abrams is producing alongside Ben Stephenson, who both served in the same role on last year's "Castle Rock", a Hulu series inspired by King's novels and other stories.
Other Apple originals include the Jennifer Aniston-Reese Witherspoon drama "The Morning Show", and the Stephen Spielberg-produced revival of the 1980s horror anthology series "Amazing Stories".
Moore can also be seen this year in Joe Wright's mystery drama "The Woman in the Window" opposite Amy Adams and Gary Oldman. She also finished work on Julie Taymor's biopic "The Glorias: A Life on the Road", based on feminist icon Gloria Steinem's best selling memoir of the same name.
