Steve Coogan ("The Penguin Lessons", "Philomena", "Tropic Thunder") and Caleb Jonte Edwards have joined the cast of the upcoming fourth season of HBO's "The White Lotus". Character and plot details are being kept under wraps. They join previously announced cast members Alexander Ludwig and AJ Michalka. Chris Messina is also rumored to be circling a new role in the show, but nothing has been officially confirmed.
Season 4 will be set and filmed in France, including Paris and multiple locations along the French Riviera. The network revealed last November that the luxury hotel Château de la Messardière in Saint-Tropez will serve as the main setting. Series creator Mike White will be writing writer, directing, and executive producing. Executive producers also include David Bernad and Mark Kamine.
For Edwards this will be his first major role. His only credited television role was an episode of the Australian crime drama "Black Snow".
Coogan can next be seen alongside Rob Brydon in the fifth entry in their successful "The Trip" series, titled "The Trip to the Northern Lights".
