Kate Beckinsale ("Underworld", "Canary Black") and Lewis Tan ("Mortal Kombat, "Cobra Kai") are are set to star in the action thriller "Lioness" financed by Capstone Pictures. The film is directed by James Nunn ("One Shot") from a script by Dominic Burns ("Madness In The Method").
The plot follows an ex-black ops team who reunite to pull off a desperate heist to save the life of their leader's (Beckinsale) eight-year-old daughter. The cast also includes Rasmus Hardiker, Alice Krige, Bailey Patrick, Tom Bennett, Matt Willis and Roxy Striar. Production is already underway in London.
Producers include James Harris & Mark Lane ("Fall", "47 Meters Down"), Dominic Burns, and Crawford Anderson Dillon. Christian Mercuri is executive producer. Capstone handles world sales.
Tan can next be seen in the upcoming sequel "Mortal Kombat 2", as well as the thriller "Copperhead"
