As expected, "Spider-Man: Far From Home" and "Toy Story 4" continue to dominate the box-office. Meanwhile, Sony and Disney's attempts at counterprogamming, the new releases "Crawl" and "Stuber", performed according to expectations, but failed to make a strong impression.

Find out more about the weekend box-office after the jump.

The MCU sequel "Spider-Man: Far From Home" is still the #1 film at the box-office with $45.3 million in its second weekend, dropping 51% from last week. The film has brought in a total of $274.5 million domestically, and added another $100 million overseas for an international cume of $572.5 million. "Far From Home" has become the highest grossing Spider-Man movie internationally, surpassing "Spider-Man 3" ($555 million).

Disney and Pixar's "Toy Story 4" held over in second place with $20.6 million, which brings its domestic total to $346.3 million, making it Pixar's fifth largest domestic release of all-time. Overseas, the animated sequel brought in $48.1 million this weekend, which raises its overseas tally to $424.7 million.

In third place we find the first newcomer, Paramount's R-rated alligator horror film "Crawl", which opened with $12 million from 3,170 theaters against a $13.5 million budget. The film also raked in $4.8 million from 20 international markets. Overall, it's a decent start for the film, especially since Paramount didn't bother raise much awareness for it. "Crawl" received mixed-to-positive reviews from critics (88% on Rotten Tomatoes and 59 on Metacritic), while the audience reception was lukewarm ("B" grade from CinemaScore's polls).

The other new wide release, the R-rated action comedy "Stuber", another Disney release of a Fox movie, opened in fourth place with $8 million from 3,050 theaters against a $16 million budget. This performance is on par with expectations, but a pretty terrible start. Overseas the film has grossed $3 million from nine markets. "Stuber" received a mixed reception from both critics (46 on Rotten Tomatoes and 43 on Metacritic) and moviegoers ("B" grade from CinemaScore).

The Top 5 is rounded out by Danny Boyle's "Yesterday" with $6.7 million. The film' s domestic total has reached $48.3 million, while it's international cume has hit $32.2 million.

In other news, A24's "The Farewell" starring Awkwafina, was released in four locations and brought in $351,330, which is the best opening weekend theater average of the year ($87,833). The film will expand nationwide on August 2.

"Avengers: Endgame" continues its struggle to overcome James Cameron's "Avatar" and claim its all-time box-office record. Disney and Marvel's box-office behemoth brought in another $2.8 million worldwide for a massive global total of $2.78 billion, just $7.16 million behind Cameron's sci-fi epic, which has a worldwide cume of $2.788 billion.
